Most forums have to deal with a certain amount of trouble caused by people who want nothing more than to come in to a message board and shake things up. Because forum communities like this one are in the public arena, we have to expect some bad behavior.

For the most part, this Dating forum runs well. People are caring and respectful, and our moderators work behind the scenes to protect the atmosphere of support and encouragement that we all appreciate and count on.

Occasionally however, we are visited by a passing troublemaker.

If you see or receive a negative post, notify me by sending a violation report.
You can access that by clicking on "options" at the bottom left of the offending post and selecting "report violation".

If you receive offensive email, please forward the mail to me at dating.guide [at] about [dot] com.

Don't respond to an offensive email. About.com protects your email addy by allowing members to write you through the profile link. Only when you respond to someone's mail will they be able to see your email address.

The Dating Forum moderators try to find and delete offensive posts before members have a chance to read them, but we don't always get there first. If you are the recipient of an unpleasant post, please forward it to one of us and try not to take the message to heart.
